McBride Lake Campground is a long time favourite privately owned campground in Saskatchewan, it has operated for over 50 years along McBride Lake in the Porcupine hills, surrounded by untouched nature of the Porcupine Provincial Forest. It is located within the newly designated Porcupine Hills Provincial Park in Saskatchewan.
The campground operates as a private lease within the Provincial Park and has recently changed ownership in 2024 and Jeanine Holowatuik and Dustin Krajci are proud to be operating such a well established campground in an area they grew up in. As new owners we strive to do what we can to make you stay enjoyable. Being local to the area helps us understand why so many people love coming to McBride Lake to make memories at this quiet and peaceful lake tucked in the hills.

Where are we located?
Not to get confusing, but there are two McBride Lake’s in Saskatchewan. One is further up north while McBride Lake Campground is located on the one in Central Saskatchewan, Canada in the RM of Hudson Bay #394. The campground is located directly on McBride Lake located 45 minutes north of Preeceville, Saskatchewan or 45 minutes south of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. Easily accessible on a very well maintained 20km gravel road (#983) primarily accessed off of Highway 9 in the RM of Hudson Bay #394. This lakeside campground is located right along the lake near the cabin subdivision at McBride Lake. Once you turn off #983 into McBride Lake, turn right (west) to enter the campground.

What to Expect?
Are you looking to be immersed in nature, gaze up to a truly dark starry sky, reel in your next lunch or relax next to a peacefully quiet lake? Then you have found the right spot.
McBride Lake Campground offers simple rustic camping, boat launch and fish filleting facilities. The narrow lake is long, surrounded by forest and tucked in the hills, making it a great lake for fishing, paddling or coming to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Cell service is very limited due to the remote location. The campground office offers some supplies such as ice, bait and firewood. Outdoor secure storage is also available.
ATV’s, Golf Carts, Dirt Bikes etc. are not allowed west of the creek that divides the nightly camping and boat launch/seasonal camping area so be aware that they are not allowed at the boat launch.
This is a rustic campground with no power sites available. Outhouses and central water taps provide the necessary facilities as you disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and take time to reconnect with nature. Generators are allowed while in your site, but not during quiet time, from 11pm-7am. Don’t expect big crowds or commercialized services, this is a quiet and secluded campground that offers front row seats to the wild untouched natural beauty of the forest.
